What Type of Programming Does OFP Offer?

We have a wide variety of program options so that all of our families’ needs are met. We offer two, three or five day a week programming. As well as half-day or full-day programs. We are contracted with the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County and the state of Florida Department of Education and offer half-day VPK classes during the school year. For any VPK student that needs before care or wrap around care, we also have options for that.

Is OFP a year round School?

We offer summer camp programming as well as school year programs. If you are interested in summer camp only, please contact the office and we can provide our summer camp information to you. Summer camp is for students grade Pre-K 2 thru exiting VPK.

Does OFP have a Curriculum?

We do, yes! We use the curriculum Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is a play-based curriculum, “Research shows that when children engage all of their senses in learning tasks, they increase their ability to learn. Play-based curriculum engages all senses in learning. For example, children may hear stories and sing songs about farm animals, then collaborate with others playing imaginary games. Afterward, teachers may have them practice storytelling by talking about what they've learned, or practice math concepts like making patterns using plastic farm animals.” (www.kids-konnect.com/blog/3-benefits-of-play-based-curriculum)

How will registration work for the upcoming school year?

Registration will be held ONLINE. There will not be any paper packets to turn in or waiting in line. The registration is first come, first served as each online submission is time-stamped.

Will Registration be staggered this year?

Yes, we will stagger registration. The registration windows are as follows: Church Members Feb.1-7, Current and Returning Families Feb.8-14. Any remaining spots will be filled from the waiting list; this process will begin on Feb. 20.

How do church members register?

New Families to OFP that are Church Members of FUMC Ocala will need to contact a member of the OFP office staff prior to Feb. 1st and provide their email address and the name of the child(ren) that will be enrolling. An email will then be sent with further instructions for registration.

If you are a Church Member and a returning family, you will see a registration link within your MyProcare account beginning Feb. 1 at 9:00am.

How do Current/Returning Families Register?

On the morning of Feb. 8th at 9:00am, you will have access to the registration process via www.myprocare.com. You will need to access your account with the email address that we have on file for you.

If you are a returning family and do not have a MyProcare account, please contact a member of the OFP office staff for assistance.

If you will be registering a younger child that has never attended OFP, you will need to have a member of the office staff add the child to your Procare account prior to registering.

How do new families register?

We will not have an “open enrollment” day for new families as we have had in the past. This year, any remaining spots will be filled using our waiting list. The process of filling spots will begin on February 20th. If a spot is available for your child, you will receive a phone call to discuss options and next steps for registration.

If you are interested in joining the OFP Family and are not yet on our waiting list, navigate to the page titled “Join our Waitlist” and get signed up! Our waitlist is time stamped which means spots are filled on a first come/first serve basis as openings become available.
